Project Timeline
Phase I - Start-up
November 2010 t/m April 2011
Phase I - Project start-up
During this phase, several emerging markets are investigated culminating in the choice of destination for Research Project Maastricht 2012. The selection of the country where research is to be conducted has been performed based on a country-specific market scan, analyzing not only the market, but also the economical, political and cultural situation thoroughly. During this period, students interested in participating in the project are subjected to an intensive selection procedure.
Phase II - Acquisition
May 2011 t/m November 2011
Phase II - Acquisition phase
The acquisition phase takes place from May to December 2011, in which companies will be contacted and informed about the project. During this phase, our aim is to clearly identify the research question(s) of clients interested in India. In order to facilitate this, we support clients in obtaining the relevant information and visit their representative(s). After having clearly identified the nature of the research question, RPM will construct a proposal that contains all the relevant information and a comprehensive research design. Furthermore, an additional visit will be scheduled to further tailor the proposal to the client's needs. If the client is satisfied with the proposal, a contract will be signed that will inter alia provide a confidentiality clause and ensure the exclusiveness of the research. After signing the contract, RPM will perform preliminary analysis and research in order to ensure the team is prepared and possesses the necessary knowledge and skills upon departure to India.
Phase III - Contractual research
December 2011 t/m April 2012
Phase III - Contractual research
From January to April 2012 RPM will be in India. During the entire process the client will be informed and updated about the progress of the project. In addition to the customized research, the general economical, political and cultural situation in India will be analyzed.
Phase IV - Final phase
May & June 2012
Fase IV - Final phase
In the months following the stay in India, the results of the research will be analyzed. Reports are written for the contracted companies and the results and recommendations are presented to the company. The team members will give presentations about their research in India to Maastricht University, for which they will be assessed.
