Port development & management
Vietnamese ports are coping with lot of challenges such as old and inefficient handling facilities, poor management and more importantly, poor infrastructure system linking the ports. Experts warned that port infrastructure will soon be overloaded and logjammed as Vietnam’s trade keeps growing.
There exists already intensive cooperation between Dutch companies and Vietnamese port authorities within various disciplines as dredging, port dike protection, vessel control system and port services management.
Furthermore, Dutch companies can take part in the following activities related to port development: Consultancy; Education and Training; Storage; Freight forwarding services; Terminal operations for containers, liquid and dry bullk; Supply of hardware, e.g. equipment for cargo handling, terminal transport, security equipment, fire protection, etc; Management and ICT applications.
