Logistics
The logistics sector in Vietnam is still in an infant stage, a large part of the logistical network of the country has not yet been integrated. The demand for transport and freight handling is vast as a consequence of the enormous amounts of materials and final products that have to be transported.
Foreign investment in this sector has been growing gradually and is expected to increase at a faster pace now Vietnam has become member of the WTO. A well developed production sector and a growing import and export makes Vietnam a very promising market for logistical services, with high revenue and strong growth. In 2008 the logistics sector of Vietnam comprised 4.4 percent of GDP.
